| How does Brand Watcher work ? | ||
|---|---|---|
| We use various sources and methods to collate data about ads appearing on search engines, these data sources and collection methods vary and whilst we don't disclose exactly how our technology works you can rest assured it's a multi faceted system which means anyone using geo-location targeting or IP blocking will not work to get around being recorded by BrandWatcher™ | ||
| What limitations are there to what I can monitor ? | ||
| You can monitor Google in the UK for any of your brand related keywords up to the maximum number of keywords your package allows, you can then upgrade to a higher package of contact us for bespoke pricing for high volume keyword pricing. | ||
| Can I monitor other people's brands | ||
| Yes you can monitor other people's brand for comparison purposes but only up to 30% of your keyword allocation as a sole or company user. Any agency or network based use must be on agency/network terms, You are not allowed to use brand watcher to monitor mulitple brands from a single account without an agency or network agreement with us, we will retrospectively apply network pricing structures to anyone we find doing this. | ||
| If someone is appearing on a search term are they definitely bidding on it ? | ||
| No, Google may show ads on other terms than those entered, for example if you were Sainsburys and had an affiliate scheme then due to Google's expanded broad match algorithim an affiliate could be bidding broad match on "tesco" and show for "sainsburys" as Google's algorithim has deemed it relevant, So whilst they may not be actively bidding on, or even aware that they are showing for the term however that doesn't alter the fact that they are and you'd like them to stop showing for your brand term. You could ask them to add sainsburys as a negative keyword to get around this if they won't stop using broad match. | ||
